As an intern for PocketMoney you will work with local business owners and educate them on how to market their business to college students through our mobile app, websites, and digital marketing products. No one knows the college audience better than college students. We kick off the Internship with a 2 day regional training conference where you’ll learn about business, marketing, and selling advertising. During the internship you will develop skills in business, sales, marketing, advertising, communications, and consulting. Successful interns receive references and recommendation letters and are referred into our Career Partners Network featuring many industry leading Fortune 500 companies who hire directly from our program. They love our interns!

Summer Intern FAQ
What is covered during the Regional Training Conference?
PocketMoney’s training conference is where you’ll begin your summer journey. During this 2 day training you will learn every aspect of the sales process. We’ll train you on how to introduce yourself, how to shake hands, how to sell the products, how to sell yourself, how to answer questions, how to close the sale, how to sign the contracts, etc. You will learn everything you need to know before you begin your internship.
How long does the internship program last?
The Summer Internship is a 12-13 week program. Exact start & end dates will vary depending on your school. Interns have Memorial Day and 4th of July off. We are looking for students who seek a full time job experience and are willing to work Monday through Friday 9am – 5pm.
How are interns compensated?
PocketMoney pays a commission along with the potential to earn revenue bonuses. Although there is no base salary, the average Summer intern is expected to make $1,500 – $3,000 or more! The commissions are uncapped so the earning potential is unlimited! The harder an intern works, the more money they can make!
Who will I be reporting to?
You will report remotely to a regional sales manager on a daily basis via phone, video conference, and email. Having managed thousands of college interns, you will be trained, mentored, and developed every step of the way.

Very few college students will graduate with the kind of skills that you will be developing during the internship. How our internship program is different
Our internship is often regarded as a life-changing event as opposed to an ordinary seasonal job. We pride ourselves in re-inventing the meaning of the word ‘internship’ from the traditional sense. Most internships that are available to students are limited to answering phones, shadowing an employer, data entry, typing, filing papers, etc., however we feel strongly that students learn best when they are actually given meaningful roles that contribute directly to a company’s bottom line.
During the internship, your son / daughter will learn advanced communication skills, persistence, determination, gain self-confidence, work with business owners one-on-one, learn to overcome challenging situations, and solve problems on a daily basis. Our proven training and management techniques have helped students edge out their peers and land the career of their choice when it comes time for job interviews.
We have mentored and managed thousands of college students. We have an excellent reputation in the college market for helping students evolve into young professionals through our training and guidance. Many of these students now have careers in the fields of advertising, marketing, public relations, sales, investment banking, management, while others move onto graduate school, law school, and entrepreneurship. We are partnered with over 60 Career Partners who hire directly from our alumni base through our Career Partnership Program. Sound too good to be true?
We have fielded phone calls and emails in the past from skeptical parents saying, “It sounds too good to be true.” “Can my son / daughter really make money with this internship?” “Is the training conference really free?” “There must be a catch!”
We do not charge our interns for the regional training conference. We put them up in the hotel where the conference is held and feed them both days! All they have to do is drive to it! In addition to that we pay for training materials, business cards, media guides, contracts, etc. The commissions are uncapped so the earning potential is unlimited!
There is one catch – your son/daughter MUST work hard. Nothing worthwhile comes easy in life and this program is no exception. PocketMoney has a very high standard for work ethic and the level of success of each intern will vary depending on this one factor-hard work!
If you feel that your son / daughter can fulfill the work ethic portion of the internship, the rest is up to us through excellent hands-on training, direct supervision, and expertise guidance of experienced sales managers, and a proven track record of success.
